Is the American Bulldog RSCE (Spain) Recognized?
The American Bulldog is not recognized by the RSCE (Real Sociedad Canina de Espana), Spain's royal canine society.
About the RSCE
The RSCE was founded on June 27, 1911, under the royal patronage of King Alfonso XIII. It has been an FCI member since 1912 and maintains the LOE (Libro de Origenes Espanol) -- Spain's official stud book. Despite more than a century of breed registrations, the American Bulldog has not been included.
Spain's American Bulldog Community
Spain has a significant and active American Bulldog community. The breed continues to grow in popularity across the country, with dedicated breeders maintaining quality bloodlines.
American judges Jeff Dailey and Jose Lopez have judged American Bulldog events in Europe, strengthening the bond between the Spanish and American AB communities.
