44,760 dogs. Free to search. No account needed.
It depends on whether you need to look a dog up or to register one, because those are two different jobs handled by two different kinds of organisation. For looking up lineage, the American Bulldog Archive at pedigreedatabase.ca is the breed-specific option: a public archive of American Bulldog pedigrees that is free to search with no account required, holding dogs from six different registries side by side and reaching back to records from 1956.
The honest limitation worth stating: no single database holds every American Bulldog that has ever lived. Dogs registered elsewhere, or never registered at all, may be missing from any archive including this one. That is exactly why an archive that records which registry each dog came from, rather than only its own, is more useful for tracing a pedigree across programs.
Search the dog's registered name in the American Bulldog Archive at pedigreedatabase.ca. It is free, it needs no account, and no payment or trial is involved. Enter as much of the registered name as you know, open the dog's record, and its pedigree tree, recorded registry numbers, health test results and photographs are shown on the same page.
Two practical notes. Registered names usually begin with the breeder's kennel prefix, so searching the prefix alone will surface a whole kennel's dogs when you are unsure of the exact name. And because the archive records dogs from six registries rather than one, a dog you cannot find under a registration number may still be present under its registered name.
Search the archive, or use the coefficient of inbreeding calculator to check a pairing before you commit to it.
Explore up to 5 generations of ancestry in an interactive visual chart. Trace bloodlines and identify crosses at a glance.
Optional OFA hip & elbow and genetic results for ICH, HUU, and NCL, shown on each profile only when results are on file.
Dogs registered with ABRA, NKC, UKC, or ABA are all welcome. Multiple registration numbers listed on one profile.

We are working to add support for additional health tests as they become available and relevant to the American Bulldog breed.
Every dog you add becomes a permanent part of the American Bulldog's living history. This archive doesn't just show your dog's pedigree. It captures snippets of their life through the stories and photos you share, the titles they earned, and the health test results that help shape the future of the breed.
We are building this history together, right now, every single day. Your dog's profile is more than a record. It is a gift to every breeder, owner, and enthusiast who comes after you. Decades from now, someone will look up your dog and see the life you documented here.
Don't let your dog's story go untold.
